Lampros Filippou
Countertenor·Dramaturg·Optical Ritual Artist
Biography
Lampros Filippou is a Greek performer, director and author who has worked for more than twenty years across theatre, performing arts, music and optical arts. He treats voice, body and structure as a single instrument.
He is the founder of Acting Truth Academy and the creator of The Deep-Truth Method™, a methodology for performers built on Reverse Dramaturgy (the central exercise of the method, of his own creation), the musicality of speech, and the dissolution of technique into truth. His first book, The Deep-Truth Method™: A Manifesto for Performers, sets out that work in full. He is currently at work on a second book, What Is Missing? A Dramaturgical Diagnosis of Reality, which extends the method's logic beyond the stage.
Throughout his career he has worked under various names and aliases. He currently performs and directs as Arturo Gui.
